About the Role
The AV Training Manager leads Moove's driver training function in Singapore - owning the program end-to-end, from cohort planning and facilitation logistics through to instructor management and certification outcomes.
You manage a team of Safety Driver Instructors who deliver the hands-on training and log driver hours; your job is to make sure they're set up to succeed, the program runs without gaps, and every driver graduates on time and to standard. Training content is largely established at the global level - you deliver it with rigor, adapt it where the local market demands, and work closely with the Global Validation Training Lead to keep standards current.
This is a leadership role that requires someone who moves fast, solves problems before they become blockers, and takes personal ownership of training throughput and quality. You'll work closely with the Safety Manager on standards, and the AVOM and GM on workforce planning and cohort intake.
What You'll Be Doing
Program Delivery & Logistics
Adapt and deliver Moove's AV validation training curriculum for Singapore - from initial AV systems orientation through to public road autonomous driving, including off-nominal response and public interaction scenarios
Own all training logistics and partnerships - including defensive driving provider contracts, facility bookings, closed course scheduling, and equipment readiness
Oversee classroom and on-road training delivery; maintain training materials, assessment rubrics, and SOPs in line with global standards
Coordinate with Moove's Global Training Lead and AV technology partners to ensure content reflects current system capabilities and operational protocols
Instructor & Cohort Management
Manage and develop the team of Safety Driver Instructors who deliver hands-on training and log driver hours
Define and own the process for identifying, assessing, and certifying Safety Drivers as Instructors - establishing the criteria, evaluation protocol, and standards that determine who is ready to train others
Track every driver's progress through the program, maintaining clear records of assessments, certifications, and expected graduation dates
Manage driver enrollment, progress tracking, and completion reporting across both Moove's internal LMS and the AV partner's platform
Partner with the local operations team on cohort intake timing, and with the Safety Manager to ensure training standards reflect real operational risk
Standards & Continuous Improvement
Ensure all training programs meet AV partner standards and LTA requirements for AV operator certification
Receive and act on structured feedback from Operations and the Safety Manager - incorporating incident trends, near-misses, and driver behavior patterns back into curriculum and instructor coaching
What You'll Need for This Position
Valid Singapore Class 3 or 3A driving licence with a clean driving record, with strong familiarity with local road conditions, driving culture, and common hazards
Minimum 5 years of experience managing a training program in a driving, fleet, or similarly regulated operational environment; not a one-time project, an ongoing program
Demonstrated experience managing and developing a team of instructors or trainers - including knowing what good looks like when identifying one
Experience managing external training partnerships, vendor relationships, or contracts with driving schools or circuit providers
Experience managing training data and reporting: able to track throughput, pass rates, LMS records
Strong stakeholder management skills - able to hold standards under pressure, and work constructively with safety when a driver isn't ready
Able and eligible to travel internationally for up to 8 weeks for AV training and certification
Preferred Qualifications
Valid TDVL or PDVL, or prior experience as a professional driver or commercial fleet operator in Singapore
Experience designing locally-adapted training content and assessments within a globally prescribed curriculum framework
Exposure to autonomous vehicle technology, ADAS systems, or vehicle telematics
