About the Role
The Validation Safety Manager owns safety and compliance performance for Moove's AV validation program in Singapore. This role sets the standards for pre-and post-shift protocols, live operational monitoring, fatigue and incident response, and is accountable for ensuring all operators consistently perform to those standards as the team grows.
Your core focus is ensuring the Singapore operation stays safe and compliant - reviewing incident investigations for quality and root-cause rigor, driving corrective actions where performance gaps emerge, and maintaining the safety and compliance standards operators are held to as headcount scales.
You will partner with the Global Safety Team, Training, and AV technology partners to align Singapore's practices with global standards, and represent the local safety and compliance function in shaping how those standards evolve
What you’ll be doing
Own the end-to-end incident and near-miss process — root cause analysis, corrective actions, escalation, and close-out reporting to the Global Safety Team
Program SME for collision response and fatigue risk — owning both programs, delivering training, and monitoring indicators across shifts before they become incidents
Track safety performance data across the program and surface trends with clear recommendations before they escalate
Set and own the safety standards the program is held to — fitness-to-operate, fatigue protocols, on-road conduct — and enforce consistent application across all shifts
Oversee driver compliance: drug and alcohol testing, fitness-to-drive documentation, and Singapore license monitoring; records audit-ready at all times
Work with the Training Manager to ensure drivers are not just certified but genuinely safe; develop and maintain operational SOPs and run weekly Safety Stand-Downs
Serve as Moove's primary safety contact with the AV technology partner — upholding agreed CSLs and representing Moove credibly in partner reviews and regulatory settings
What you will need for this position
5+ years in a safety management role — NEBOSH, WSHO, or equivalent — with direct experience in driver or fleet safety in a regulated transport, logistics, or mobility environment
Hands-on experience managing a fatigue risk program — not just awareness of it; you've built or owned one, delivered training, and monitored compliance across a shift-based operation
Demonstrated experience managing incident and near-miss protocols end-to-end — investigation, root cause analysis, corrective action, and close-out; you've run this process, not just contributed to it
Familiarity with both depot/hub-based operations and on-road field safety — understanding both environments is essential
Working knowledge of Singapore's WSH framework and LTA requirements; strong analytical ability to track KPIs, spot trends, and translate data into clear recommendations
Confident communicator who can present to senior stakeholders, influence behavior across the organization, and manage external partner relationships professionally
Available when it matters — this role spans a multi-shift program and requires readiness outside standard hours
Authorization to work in country of employment without current or future sponsorship
Proof of a current and valid SGP Drivers license
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Able to travel 10%, both locally and internationally
Availability outside of regular working hours for high priority escalations
About the Team
Our team is analytical, fast-moving, and solutions-driven. We combine data, teamwork, and innovation to deliver world-class autonomous vehicle operations. If you’re a hands-on leader who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about improving systems, people, and performance, you’ll fit right in.
