About Moove AV
At Moove AV, we’re on a mission to make the world safer by enabling autonomy in transportation. Partnering with industry leaders, we’re redefining fleet management and accelerating the commercialization of autonomous vehicles.
We’re expanding globally and seeking passionate, innovative professionals to join our journey. If you’re ready to be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology and help make mobility safer, more efficient, and more accessible — we want to hear from you.
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Miami, Florida. Remote work is not available for this role due to its hands-on operational requirements.
About the Role
As the Autonomous Vehicle Operations Manager (AVOM) for Fleet Deployment & Readiness (FD&R), you will be responsible for maintaining and improving fleet health across a wide range of diagnostic, maintenance, and readiness initiatives — all critical to ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our autonomous vehicle fleet.
You will serve as the people leader for the FD&R team, overseeing site performance, vehicle health, workflow distribution, and process execution. The ideal candidate is technically sharp, operationally disciplined, and analytically minded — capable of interpreting complex data, identifying trends, and translating insights into clear, actionable strategies that enhance performance and drive continuous improvement.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead Fleet Health & Readiness: Ensure all vehicles are mission-ready through readiness assessments, fleet performance evaluations, and implementation of best practices that maximize uptime.
Supervise Work Order Flow: Oversee and prioritize work order distribution to ensure efficient execution and a direct, positive impact on performance metrics — driving faster turnaround times and getting more vehicles road-ready each day.
Drive Technical Excellence: Oversee vehicle diagnostics, fault detection, and preventive maintenance workflows to enhance reliability and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Think Strategically About Cost Efficiency: Consistently identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across operations without compromising safety, quality, or compliance.
Own Data & Reporting: Deep dive into fleet and operational data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement. Build and present clear, data-driven reports to both internal stakeholders and our partner organization.
Conduct Daily Quality Checks: Perform daily quality control checks to identify operational gaps, compliance issues, or performance bottlenecks — and implement targeted corrective actions.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with Ride Hail Operations Managers and product teams to align technical initiatives with broader operational and performance goals.
Vendor Management: Manage third-party vendor relationships to ensure consistent standards in diagnostics, maintenance, and fleet operations.
People Leadership: Build, coach, and manage a high-performing FD&R team that embodies accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
Adapt and Experiment: Operate comfortably in a dynamic environment — embracing change, testing new tools, and experimenting with evolving systems and processes to enhance fleet efficiency.
What You’ll Need
5+ years of experience in fleet management, operations, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
Strong analytical capabilities with a proven ability to mine, interpret, and communicate complex data insights.
Ability to prepare and deliver operational reports and presentations for both internal and external audiences.
Solid understanding of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and fleet infrastructure.
Experience conducting daily quality checks and driving process improvement initiatives.
Demonstrated success in leading technical or operational teams in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
Strong preference for experience applying the Kaizen or similar continuous improvement frameworks.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Proven project management abilities with a track record of executing complex operational programs on time and within scope.
This position may require working morning, evening, or overnight shifts — including weekends and holidays — based on operational needs.
Must possess a valid driver’s license in the state of employment.
Applicants must be authorized to work and reside in the United States.
