Head of Safety and Compliance
About Moove AV
At Moove AV, we don’t just manage fleets; we operate the critical infrastructure that makes autonomous transportation a reality. As a premier partner to AV industry pioneers, we manage high-tech autonomous vehicle (AV) depots where precision, uptime, and—above all—safety are the benchmarks of our success.
Operating at the intersection of cutting-edge robotics and large-scale logistics, we are expanding globally to redefine fleet commercialization. Because we handle the physical heartbeat of autonomous mobility, our safety requirements aren't just guidelines—they are the foundation of our existence.
The Role: Driving a Culture of Uncompromising Safety
As the Head of Safety and Compliance you will be the primary architect of Moove AV’s safety ecosystem. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring a blend of strategic vision and "boots-on-the-ground" operational rigor.
You will work alongside Ride-Hailing Operations and Cross-Site Leadership to institute a culture where safety is never sacrificed for speed. You will ensure that our depots meet—and exceed—the stringent SOPs of our partners and the evolving regulatory landscape of autonomous transport.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Governance: Develop and oversee a comprehensive safety governance framework, including policies and protocols that align perfectly with partner standards and local/federal regulations.
Operational Risk Mitigation: Establish robust strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate risks unique to AV depot environments, including high-voltage systems, sensor calibration areas, and autonomous movement zones.
Quality Assurance & Auditing: Lead multi-functional teams in maintaining rigorous QA processes. You will spearhead regular audits, site inspections, and assessments to implement swift corrective actions.
Data-Driven Safety: Utilize advanced analytics to interpret safety data and performance metrics. You will turn complex datasets into actionable insights to reduce incidents and optimize safety outcomes.
Safety Advocacy & Training: Act as the internal champion for safety, fostering a high-accountability culture through continuous training initiatives and transparent communication at all levels of the organization.
External Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, industry associations, and insurance partners, influencing the development of future industry standards for AV operations.
Future-Proofing: Stay at the forefront of AV technology and regulatory shifts, providing strategic counsel to the CEO and senior management to ensure Moove AV maintains its competitive edge in compliance.
What You Bring to the Team
Experience: 10+ years of proven leadership in transportation safety, industrial safety, or high-stakes logistics management.
Education: Bachelors degree required
Expertise: Deep-rooted knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA, DOT, etc.) and a mastery of best practices within complex operational environments.
Analytical Mindset: The ability to distill complex technical data into clear, strategic safety improvements.
Certifications: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or an equivalent senior-level safety certification is required.
Industry Background: While experience in the Autonomous Vehicle (AV) sector is highly preferred, we value leaders from Fleet, Mobility, or High-Tech Logistics who have experience scaling operations in highly regulated spaces.
Communication: Exceptional ability to simplify technical safety concepts for diverse stakeholders, from depot technicians to C-suite executives.
Adaptability: A "growth mindset" with the ability to scale safety protocols across new geographies and decentralized teams.
Legal: Valid right to work in the United States.
Why Join Moove AV?
You will be joining a team that is literally building the future of movement. We offer the chance to lead in an industry where your work directly impacts public trust in autonomous technology. If you thrive in environments where the bar is set high and the mission is clear, we want to talk.
