About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Driver Intern to assist with the movement of vehicles between various company locations and to support the management of our vehicle warehouse. This internship is ideal for individuals with driving experience who are interested in gaining exposure to fleet operations and vehicle inventory management within a professional environment.
What You’ll be Doing
Move vehicles safely and efficiently between company sites, dealerships, service centres, and the vehicle warehouse.
Conduct basic vehicle checks (fuel, tyre pressure, cleanliness) before and after moving vehicles.
Assist with the organisation and upkeep of the vehicle warehouse, ensuring vehicles are parked and stored according to company procedures.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements, including check-in/check-out logs and vehicle status updates.
Support the Fleet Supervisor with periodic inventory counts and status checks of all vehicles in the warehouse.
Report any vehicle issues, damages, or irregularities promptly to the supervisor.
Ensure all vehicle keys and documentation are managed securely and systematically.
Adhere to all South African road safety laws and company policies.
Assist with other operational or administrative tasks as required.
What You will need for this position
Valid South African driver’s license (Code B/EB or higher preferred).
Minimum of 1 year’s driving experience (internships, part-time, or volunteer roles acc).
Good understanding of vehicle handling and basic vehicle checks.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively (additional South African languages are a plus).
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Willingness to work flexible hours if required.
Basic computer literacy (for record-keeping and inventory management).
Must be able to provide references related to driving experience.

Directly reporting to our CIM Supervisor, and closely working with our Fleet Department Team.
