About the Role
The
Yard Marshal is responsible for managing the movement, compliance,
and readiness of vehicles within the yard, ensuring accurate
alignment with fleet systems. This role ensures all vehicles are
fully compliant, roadworthy, and prepared for assignment to drivers,
supporting operational efficiency and company standards.
What You’ll be Doing

Vehicle Yard & compliance coordination
- Manage and oversee the movement of vehicles in and out of the yard, including secure key and parking control.
- Ensure vehicle compliance and readiness for assignment — confirm all vehicles are licensed, roadworthy, serviced, cleaned, fuelled, and meet safety and brand standards before handover.
- Conduct readiness and compliance checks, escalating outstanding repairs, inspections, or registrations to the maintenance team for quick resolution.
- Report
and track any delays, ensuring corrective actions are taken to avoid
disruption to driver onboarding or operations.
System accuracy & reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all vehicle movements, locations, and readiness in CRM and fleet management systems.
- Regularly reconcile yard vehicle counts with system data to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Flag discrepancies or compliance risks immediately and ensure issues are resolved before vehicles are allocated.
- Provide
feedback to operations and fleet teams on turnaround times,
bottlenecks, and process gaps.
Safety & continuous improvement
- Enforce strict yard safety and security protocols, ensuring safe storage and movement of vehicles.
- Monitor vehicle conditions in the yard and escalate damage, non-compliance, or risks promptly.
- Collaborate with operations, fleet, and onboarding teams to improve yard efficiency, turnaround times, and compliance processes.

years’ experience in fleet, yard, or operational coordination.

literacy (CRM/fleet systems proficiency is an advantage).

driver’s license.
