Data Science Analyst
About Moove
At Moove AV, we’re on a mission to make the world safer by enabling autonomy in transportation. Partnering with industry leaders like Waymo, we’re redefining fleet management and driving the commercialization of autonomous vehicles.
We’re expanding globally and seeking passionate, innovative professionals to join our journey. If you’re ready to be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology and help make mobility safer, more efficient, and accessible, we want to hear from you!
About the Role
We are seeking a Data Science Analyst to join our growing Operations and Fleet Readiness team. This role sits at the intersection of data analytics, business operations, and product strategy, playing a critical part in enabling Moove AV’s mission to scale safe, efficient, and cost-effective autonomous vehicle operations.
As a Data Science Analyst, you will work cross-functionally with Fleet Deployment & Readiness (FD&R), Ride Hailing Operations, and regional operations teams to analyze trends, build operational dashboards, and generate insights that drive measurable improvements in fleet uptime, cost efficiency, and utilization. You will also support long-term strategic initiatives such as new market launches, partner performance measurement, and industry benchmarking.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining analytical rigor with operational context — translating complex datasets into actionable insights that influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
What You’ll Be Doing
Partner with FD&R, RHO, and Operations teams to analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as uptime, readiness, cost per vehicle, and labor utilization.
Build and maintain dashboards and data tools to track fleet performance and identify efficiency opportunities.
Conduct detailed trend and variance analyses on depot, readiness, and maintenance data to identify root causes of operational bottlenecks.
Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, Corporate Development, and Market GMs to translate data findings into strategic and financial implications.
Support new market launches by providing analytical inputs on expected supply, cost, and performance readiness targets.
Lead or support data projects focused on benchmarking, capacity forecasting, and process optimization.
Synthesize findings into concise presentations and reports for leadership, highlighting actionable insights and recommendations.
Continuously improve internal reporting processes and documentation for scalability and transparency across teams.
What You’ll Need for This Position
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
2–4 years of experience in data analytics, business operations, or applied research (experience in fleet, logistics, or mobility is a plus).
Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data extraction and analysis.
Experience with visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio).
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to translate technical analysis into clear business narratives.
A proactive, curious mindset — comfortable working cross-functionally and proposing solutions independently.
Familiarity with or willingness to learn AV operations, fleet maintenance, or readiness workflows is highly valued.
Applicants must be authorized to work and reside in the United States.
About the team
Our team is collaborative, positive, curious, and engaged. We think fast, work smart, laugh often, and are looking for like-minded people to join us in our mission to disrupt vehicle ownership and make financial freedom within reach.
